Great design and sturdy construction best define Outwell’s range of camping tents. Available in a variety of sizes, these are designed to meet the needs of all kinds of outdoors enthusiasts.

Take for example the Alderney tent. A tunnel tent with one door at each end, the Alderney can easily accommodate two people at the same time. With porches at each end and O-shaped doors with half-mesh, this tent provides good ventilation and is also ideal protection from both rain and snow. The flysheet is seam sealed, stress points are doubly reinforced and the heavy-duty Outwell zips provide unfailing service. This tent in addition also has pre-attached ropes. The combination of all these features gives you a cosy yet simple tent that’s ideal for couples.

For those of you needing more space, the South Sea 3 is a 3-person tent which can be pitched easily and quickly. Like the Alderney, it has O-shaped doors and comes with an adjustable porch. Its powerful Duratec poles and Airtech fabric make it easy to deploy with minimum effort and provide a comfortable environment inside the tent.

Wolf Lake 7 is one of the largest Outwell tents and has 5 windows to provide light and four vent-view windows to keep air circulation going. Accommodating seven people, this tent has a very flexible structure with full length mesh D-doors inside, a PVC tarpaulin floor and a full zip-out groundsheet to keep out the insects.

The French settlement of New Caledonia is the perfect island destination for fishing and diving holiday, positioned north-west of New Zealand in the South Pacific.

If you are in to culture, shopping and dining, you will be aroused with Noumea, capital of the main island of Grand Terre. Noumea has been called the Paris of the Pacific, with its exceptional museums, swish and stylish boutiques of Rue de Sebastopol and shops of Chinatown. If this isn’t enough then the Grand Terre is bordered by its biggest treasure, the worlds greatest coral lagoon and second largest coral reef, where aquatic life bursts.

South east trade winds and its situation as one of the southern-most Pacific islands give New Caledonia a beautiful, temperate climate year round. These warm, sunny days offer endless opportunites for fishing and diving expeditions. Idyllic coral and underwater canyons and caves offer the backdrop for dramatic dives and abundant fishing.

fishing holidays in New Caledonia is ideal for the sportfishing enthusiast. Guided charter boats for deep sea and big game fishing; cruisers and catamarans for rod, spear, and fly fishing; or small, local boats are all available for rent. New Caledonia is identified by fishermen around the globe as one of the best and most gorgeous bone fishing locations in the world. Fisherman flock to this part of the world hoping to break records as the fish are famous for their strength and speed.

The small islands that make up New Caledonia are ideal for diving and snorkelling. . Full and half day trips work out of Noumea, and equipment is available through excursion operators and resorts. Whether diving in the still waters of Ile des Pins or nighttime snorkeling where special torches illuminate fluorescent coral, New Caledonia is a diving holidays paradise.

Travellers would be hard pressed to find another location on the earth that offers such an glorious medley of sportfishing and diving holiday joys.

This post is from our recent trip to Hawaii. Ive got to tell you, if you ever have the fortune to make it to Waikiki, you should absolutely take the offer. It has to be one of the most stunning places in the States. What a blessing it is to have such a marvelous location in our country.

The hospitality there is dramatic. We took a widsurfing lesson, rode a canoe, watched a few hula exhibits and even had a chance to try out some genuine Hawaiian food at a luau. They say ono out there, it means delicious. The Kalua Pig is to die for and be sure to stop by for a lava flow cocktail at Dukes. Its a little spot on Waikiki beach, great for an evening cocktail. One of the most memorable aspects was when we treated ourselves to a massage in Honolulu. It was impressive, super relaxing and well deserved after a hard years work.

Hawaii is extraordinary. Don’t concentrate that you won’t do it all, because you can’t. Figure out what is most important to you and concentrate on that. Take time to unwind and enjoy just being there. Needless to say, we will be going back as soon as possible.

The 77-year-old man from Nepal is now the oldest person to have reached the top of Chomolungma. More than 3146 people have climbed to the summit since it was first conquered in 1953 by New Zealander Edmund Hillary, who died in January, and Nepal’s Tenzing Norgay.

As he planned for the climb, Sherchan told reporters he wanted to inspire fellow senior citizens. He also said many Nepalese have established records on Mount Everest, so it was only fitting that the record for the oldest climber to reach the summit should also belong to a Nepali. With the Chinese preparing for the impending summer Olympic Games, Min Bahadur Sherchan noted that the government’s actions hardly reflected the Olympic spirit. Further, he was all too aware of the potential dangers Mt Everest could bring. Certain parts of the climb are more dangerous than others and it is important for climbers to remain focused Sherchan just 5 days away from his 77th birthday beat the age record set last year by 71-year-old Japanese teacher Katsusuke Yanagisawa.

They flexed their muscles this year all the in name of the Olympic spirit, but it was hardly spirited at all.”

“Chomolungma or Mount Everest this year became a political pawn,” he said with some frustration.

His first found him within 238 metres of the peak when his team stopped to help a fellow mountaineer who was left for dead. Two years later, Andrew Brash, a University of Calgary alumni, returned to Everest to finish what he had started.

Nepalese climber, 74, oldest mountaineer to scale the top of the Mount Everest. Now that Bahadur Sherchan has successfully scaled the tallest mountain in the world, he is once again ready to focus on his family. Hall was frostbitten and severely disoriented due to altitude sickness. Andrew Brash returned a hero to Calgarians. Min Bahadur Sherchan last attempt resulted in the rescue of Lincoln Hall, an Australian climber who was left by his team in the “death zone.”

Therefore, the decision to actualize a long-time personal goal left Bahadur Sherchan with some internal uncertainties, he cited the political actions of China and Nepal as providing the greatest adversity he faced on his journey. The Chinese were flying their airplanes over Everest and had Chinese officials in Kathmandu. This season French climber Anthony Loeff is reporting the scales for Mount Everest after reaching the peak of Kilimanjaro earlier this year.

Bahadur Sherchan and four climbing guides reached the 29,035-foot (8,850-meters) summit of the world’s highest mountain early Sunday, said Ramesh Chretri, an official with Nepal’s ministry of tourism.

Bahadur Sherchan returned this week from Nepal after successfully climbing to the summit of Chomolungma. “The Chinese weren’t allowing anybody on Mt Everest. They ended up commandeering it for themselves, even though the Mount Everest is shared by two countries. They basically coerced the Nepali government to not allow any climbers past camp two on the Nepali side.
